Coordination

The Coordination Team ensures our MUN activities run smoothly. As a member, you'll organize and lead team meetings, send weekly update emails, and review team schedules to keep everything on track. You'll also manage the AFO mailbox, maintain contact with the University of Münster, and represent our presence within the AFO community. Additionally, you'll act as the liaison with Münster MUN e.V., fostering collaboration.
 

If you're organized and enjoy communication, joining the Coordination Team is a great way to make a meaningful impact while developing key leadership skills.

Secreteriat

The Secretariat is the driving force behind the MUIMUN conference, ensuring that every content aspect is carefully planned and executed. You'll also supervise committee planning, set the conference theme, and coordinate with committee chairs throughout the year. Your role will include planning study guides, organizing workshops and leading key events such as the opening and closing ceremonies. From managing chair applications to preparing awards and certificates, the Secretariat handles the critical details that bring the conference to life.
 

If you're passionate about leadership and enjoy coordinating complex projects, the Secretariat offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to shape the MUIMUN experience.

Finance

The Finance Team is integral to managing the financial affairs of our MUN conference. You'll be responsible for budgeting, financial planning, and keeping accurate records of all transactions. You'll work closely with other teams to ensure their budgeting requirements are met and assist with financial concerns. Key tasks include setting and updating the budget, communicating with the University of Münster and managing delegate fees. Your role will ensure that all financial aspects are well organised and that the conference runs smoothly.
 

If you're detail-oriented and enjoy working with numbers, the finance team is a great way to develop your skills while contributing to the success of our MUN conference.

Logistics

The Logistics Team is crucial to the smooth running of MUIMUN. They're responsible for managing transport, setting up equipment and handling logistics on site. This includes coordinating the transportation of delegates, overseeing the technical set-up, and ensuring that all materials and rooms are ready and properly arranged. You also take care of the social events like the Gala, Farewell Party or Champagne Reception.
 

If you enjoy organising and solving logistical challenges, this is the perfect opportunity to make a significant impact on our conference.

Fundraising

The Fundraising Team is an essential part of the success of MUIMUN, ensuring that the conference runs smoothly and effectively. You will be actively contacting both past and potential sponsors, updating promotional materials such as brochures and flyers. You will also be responsible for creating and sending holiday cards to sponsors, finalizing sponsorship agreements and overseeing the creation of sponsor signage and promotional materials.
 

During the conference, you will ensure that sponsors are well supported, including managing their presence and ensuring that they receive the benefits they have been promised. Your work will include maintaining accurate records of sponsor interactions, ensuring all contacts are up to date to avoid duplication, and handling the logistical details associated with sponsor fulfillment.
 

Your dedication and organization will play a crucial role in ensuring a successful and well-funded MUIMUN conference.

Public Relations

The Public Relations (PR) Team is dedicated to promoting MUIMUN locally in Münster and internationally. Your goal is to attract potential team members, delegates, chairs, scholars, and supporters, while effectively communicating MUIMUN’s values and mission. The core responsibilities include managing social media platforms by creating and posting content on Facebook and Instagram, handling media relations and press inquiries, and designing promotional materials such as flyers and posters.During the conference, we also produce WeDi, our own newspaper, which provides updates and insights into the event. Additionally, we create comic relief by recording memorable moments and generating content such as memes to enhance the conference experience.

Scholarship

The Scholarship Team is essential for broadening MUIMUN's international scope and fostering diversity within the conference. Your role is crucial in ensuring that talented participants from around the world who might not otherwise afford to attend can join us. You will be responsible for communicating with both scholars and local NextGen participants, ensuring their needs are met before and during the conference. This includes organizing their travel and accommodation, coordinating with hosts, and providing ongoing support. You'll also handle the logistics for the NextGen Program, ensuring that local students have a seamless and enriching experience.
 

During the conference, your role extends to being a point of contact for scholars and ensuring their experience is smooth and enjoyable. You will assist with their arrival, support their participation, and ensure they have everything they need to make the most of their time at MUIMUN. Your dedication ensures that MUIMUN remains inclusive, diverse, and accessible to a global audience.

Content

The Content Team is crucial in creating the intellectual and thematic core of our MUN conference. You'll work on selecting the conference theme and working closely with the Secretary General to align the Conference with the MUN's vision. Brainstorming and developing the crisis concept and refining it into a detailed scenario is the main task of this team. As the conference approaches, you'll be responsible for proofreading study guides, finalizing crisis materials and ensuring that all content is accurate and compelling.
 

Joining the Content Team is an opportunity to shape the heart of our conference, using your creativity and research skills to create an engaging and impactful MUN experience.

Delegates Service

The Delegates' Service Team is the primary point of contact for delegates, addressing their questions and concerns before and during the conference. You'll manage the registration process, ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish. This includes assigning countries and committees to participants, assisting international delegates with visa processes, and coordinating accommodation in Münster.
 

Throughout the year, you'll attend team meetings, respond to emails, and maintain the registration database. Key responsibilities also include managing accommodation logistics, preparing invitation letters, and overseeing feedback and evaluations.
 

If you enjoy organization and helping others, the Delegates' Service Team offers a hands-on role in making our MUN conference a success.

Awareness

This is a very special and unique Team that is dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive environment within MUIMUN. Their mission is to ensure that every team member and delegate feels valued, respected, and supported throughout the entire conference process. This involves preventing and addressing any instances of neglect, discrimination, or conflict among participants, while also providing support to prevent burnout and manage workloads effectively.

Innovation

The Innovation Team is at the heart of MUIMUN’s creative evolution, tasked with generating and implementing new ideas to enhance the conference experience. Your role involves brainstorming fresh concepts, collaborating with subteams to bring innovative solutions to life, and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and creativity. Key responsibilities include attending team meetings, supporting the Coordination team, and driving the “Keep Changing” agenda at MUIMUN. The team was restructured to reinvigorate its role from a dormant group into a dynamic force for innovation.
 

Your tasks span from developing new conference elements like Roll-Ups, Beach-Flags, and delegate stickers, to organizing engaging activities such as the Pub Quiz and advancing the Green Conference initiative. By joining the Innovation Team, you contribute to shaping a more exciting, sustainable, and impactful MUIMUN conference each year, turning bold ideas into reality.

 

The non-profit Münster MUN e. V. (German registered association) supports the MUIMUN project actively, especially with a staff (the volontarily working MUIMUN organization team) and ideally. Additionally, it also helps in funding the project.
